A Brief History

Victor started its journey in 1979 under the flagship guidance of Shri J.M. Sethiya with manufacturing of Invertors in Calcutta, which was reeling under a strong wave of load shedding at that time. Soon it established itself as leading manufacturers and installer of invertors catering to domestic as well as commercial usage. 

During the Gulf War in 1989, a huge demand for dish antenna arose suddenly. Victor  under the technical supervision of Mr Suresh Sethiya and Marketing strength of Mr Sanjay Sethiya was quick to grab the opportunity in catering to the demand of Individual Households as well as Cable TV Networks, which sprang up like mushrooms during the era, by being one of the foremost in manufacturing of  Dish Antenna System in Eastern India. 

Evolving technology saw players emerge in the field of Multi System Operators. Mr Suresh Sethiya joined Siti Cable (one such MSO) as Director, which acquired Indian Cablenet Co Ltd. (formerly known as RPG Netcom) and is now the largest Cable TV operator in Eastern India catering to more than 40 Lakhs Set Top Boxes, supported by an extensive network of Fiber Optic Cable of more than 35000 Km spread across Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. 

Since 2001  Mr Sanjay Sethiya MD of Victor Mediia Pvt Ltd took charges of Victor Group of Companies and started expanding the horizon not only in Inverters/UPS/Cable TV, but also in distribution of Satellite Channels in Hotels & Commercials Establishments (HCE) and even domestic market of Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand and also in providing solutions in Extra Low Voltage (ELV) segment for:

  • PAS – Public Address System.
  • FAS – Fire Alarm System.
  • Biometric & Access Control.
  • Networking.
  • EPABX System.
